Project Description:
The Smart and Comfortable Office project in Blaszki, Poland, completed in 2024, exemplifies intelligent office automation, integrating cutting-edge technology to create a comfortable and energy-efficient work environment. The office building is equipped with KNX and DALI systems for lighting, underfloor heating, air conditioning, and automatic roller blinds, all managed by ComfortClick’s Grinder Black server.
The lighting system, powered by DALI and controlled through KNX presence detectors, automatically adjusts based on occupancy and light levels. This ensures that lights are only on when necessary, improving energy efficiency. In addition, large, glazed surfaces required automated sun protection, which was achieved by controlling roller blinds based on the sun’s position and brightness levels.
The underfloor heating is controlled via thermostats connected to wall-mounted KNX touch panels, allowing precise temperature control. For air conditioning, the KNX/Modbus Gateway integrates the system, enabling the office to cool down rooms automatically when temperatures exceed set thresholds during the summer months.
Additional features include the integration of access control systems, allowing door unlocking through the building’s visualization system, and independent air conditioning in employee recreational areas, controlled via infrared emitters.
With remote access capabilities, the automation system can be fine-tuned to meet the specific needs of the building occupants, ensuring both comfort and energy savings.
